• 72 contestants (includes qualifiers, exempt players, and professionals )
• 36-hole, stroke play event (18 holes per day)

ELIGIBILITY

• Open to VSGA members who are at least 50 years of age by September 9, 2024.
• All participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA member club in good standing.
• All participants must meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.

ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES

Qualifying

Players competing in a qualifier (may only enter one) are required to submit an entry form with the proper entry fee by Monday, July 15, 2024.  Entry fees are as follows: 

• Senior Amateur Championship Qualifying Only - $115 
• Senior Open Qualifying Only - $115 
• Both Qualifiers - $180
  • Entry fee includes mandatory course fee for qualifying round.
  • $80 of qualifying fees will be applied to the championship entry for successful qualifiers. 
  • The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host clubs.

Successful Qualifiers

Those who successfully qualify are required to pay the entry balance of $120 by Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

• Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) for all rounds of competition.
• The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice fee with host club.

 

Exempt Players

Exempt sides competing in the championship are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $200 by Monday, July 15, 2024.

FORMAT

Qualifying

• All non-exempt players must qualify.
• A player may only compete in one (1) qualifier.
• The total number of participants at each qualifier will vary by site and will be filled by lowest Handicap Index as of July 17, 2024.
• The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site.
